Our Philosophy of Care at Aspreys aims to provide a caring and homely atmosphere, which respects the individuality, dignity, independence and right to privacy of each resident. We aim to create a non-institutional regime that enables residents to lead a fulfilled life and achieve the highest potential that their condition permits physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. We provide a holistic approach based upon our establishment of positive relationships with the residents, their family and the staff.

Aspreys Nursing Home accommodates residents with varying needs including physical disabilities and those requiring palliative care. The home has Registered Nurses and Care Staff trained to NVQ level two or three, with a Registered Nurse and Care Staff on duty twenty four hours a day, with senior staff always on call. All staff receives the homes induction training, which incorporates the home philosophy and values.

We encourage visitors to Aspreys, to see just what we do, and how well we do it. Our nursing staff are warm and welcoming, and would be happy to show you around at any time to suit.

We recognise that moving into the home is not a decision to be taken lightly and personalisation of bedrooms is actively encouraged to ensure that residents are surrounded by familiar possessions. Residents may bring items from home such as photos, small items of furniture to personalise and make the room feel like home. Above all each resident is treated as an individual, and able to exercise choice in all aspects of their care. We encourage as full and active lifestyle as possible, with rules and regulations kept to a minimum, with visitors welcome at any time.

We have two lounges that provide for differing social interaction requirements of each person. This provides choice and reflects residents? preferences where they are able to express themselves. We also have chiropody and hairdressing facilities for those who want that pampered treatment. At all times the residents are ensured privacy and dignity at all times, enabling them to make choices for themselves. All residents are provided with a Service User Guide and Statement of Purpose on admission providing information for both the resident and the family.
